    Give it Up, Guys

Man, is there anything in life where guys don't toot their horn?

There's always this obvious or subtle message:

I am the best....I know the most....I've been to more places....I have been with more women....I have the fastest>>>whatever, and on and on and on.

I know that I am guilty of this tendency myself.

Competition is good and it is a great motivator, but does it have to pervade EVERY facet of life?

No, but I'm the best Apex mod of all time.
“Socialism is a philosophy of failure, the creed of ignorance, and the gospel of envy, its inherent virtue is the equal sharing of misery.” (Winston Churchill)

I've tried to toot my own horn, but I'm not flexible enough. It's probably better that I can't do it anyway...I'd never leave the house if I could.

I hear if you just have a couple ribs removed, you can pull it off . . . well, I guess if you have the ribs removed, you won't have to 'pull' it off . . . you've got other options . . .

Apparently, Marilyn Manson (that kid from Wonder Years) had ribs removed so he could do it . . .

I used to be into sadism, necrophilia and beastiality, but then I realized I was just beating a dead horse

?? Are you referring to Marilyn Manson, the heavy metal artist? Cuz I've never heard of him being on the Wonder Years tv show...

I don't have any friends that talk like this. Of course, that is because I don't want to be friends with people who talk like this - and there are plenty of those people around.

You are right - it is insecurity that causes people to widely express such things.
