    Informal Poll: Did Jesus exist?

I'm conducting some research and am curious what kind of results this question gets. I'm hoping this doesn't get relegated to Political b/c I need numbers, so please be civil.

Question: Did Jesus walk the Earth in the form of a man ~2,000 years ago in the area that is present-day Israel? Please set aside what you believe about his teachings and/or supernatural/spiritual powers. I'm just interested in his physical presence in this world.

    Thanks!

I think Jesus walked the Earth. Was he all he's cracked up to be, I highly doubt it.

I'm with you. I'm sure there was a Jesus who had quite a following.

He did exist - there is secondary historical evidence that he did.
    I think over again
    My small adventures, my fears.
The small ones that seemed so big,
For all the vital things I had to get and to reach.

And yet there is only one great thing, the only thing:

To live to see the great day that dawns,
And the light that fills the world.

you may want to word this differently, as others have hinted towards. with little doubt, there was a man named jesus who walked the earth back then. heck, there was probably more than man named jesus, same as today.

i think the question you are asking is whether or not folks believe the man called jesus in the bible was the son of the god in the bible.

i voted yes to your poll, but i have no clue if that particular jesus was the son of god.
yeah, pretty much we missed the boat on that one. but it's still here. get you some.

I say yes in both aspects but I do feel generally, people can/should accept of the 'man' living just like we are all living here today at this moment!

I'm with all the above who say there was probably a fella named Jesus who lived way back then. I don't think he was the 'son of God,' however. He was likely just another fella in my view.

I think it was intended to be a loaded question.

Even Jews believe that Jesus lived. They do not believe he was the Messiah though. Yes, he existed.

Not how I'd put it but yeah. Muslims go so far as to hold Jesus as a prophet.

Yeah he existed, I don't think anyone can contest that. I wonder who put no?

Yep. He did, and I know it's been confirmed by multiple ancient sources that some guy matching his description and teachings was around the area at the time. So it would be tough to convince me that historically, Jesus didn't exist.
