    mp3 joiner/splitter

anyone know a good mp3 joiner or splitter? I have some audiobooks that I need to fix. They're just rips of the cd's and they're not broken down into the correct chapters. Any suggestions? Looking for a free one if possible.

Audacity is a very good (and free) all-purpose music editing software. It probably has a lot more than what you need for now, but it's a program worth having. It's also very easy to use. Check it out.

I use goldwave. The free version gives you a few hundred "actions" before stopping you. Re-starting the tool resets the number of actions.
