I bet Greg and Jen will move to 94.1. They have an opening in the afternoon and it doesn't seem as if JACK has room for to many talk shows!

I don't know about you all, but I miss the personal touch, not so much the talking inbetween songs, but hearing about Jen's wedding, Jeff's family, etc. I figured they were going to change the music format as they slowly began doing that a week or so ago.

What happened to the DJs? Did they lose their jobs? I was wondering why Anita wasn't on all week which makes me wonder if she left on not very good terms. How did they present all these changes to the DJs? Did they tell them they had to be excited until it happened and promote it until today? Wow, that would be a tough one for me to do, acting excited about something when the future is so uncertain. Just my two cents.

Jeff & Jer's contract is up for renewal in the fall. Whanna make a bet they make a switch.

Wow- so they must have signed last fall for only a year. Yep I bet they split too. Seems like this is everything they are against. So strange not to har Anita's voice- should be interesting to see what happens at 3pm.

Did anyone try to listen to "Jack" this morning....they said Jeff & Jer are on vacation.

I wonder if this is a fact....or if they quit.

I got disgusted with even trying to listen to the now automated station and switched to Tony & Kris. Interestingly enough....T&K are having their troubles with their previous station KSON.

As I channel surfed this morning, I stopped on Rock105 and heard "The Mikey Show" talking about how a bunch of Star fans were pissed at the channel suddenly changing and they expect a lot of the Star listeners to wander over to their program. Then they were going on about the Fugitive and the roller coaster marathon. It was rather amusing to hear another station discussing their competition.

While channel-surfing, I decided to track all of the San Diego radio stations.
If Jack doesn't work for you, there may be hope elsewhere.

This was poor timing on the station's part. Thousands of listeners are going to find other alternatives.

By the time Jeff & Jer come back....they will probably have a plan...and it won't include Jack. If anything... Tommy is really in demand and other stations are probably hammering at his door.

I can confirm that they'll be back on the 18th. Greg and Sarah will also be back but Jen won't. They'll only be playing music for the time being so that everyone can get used to it.

Also an FYI-there are a lot of commercials right now because they have obligations to the vendors who had a contract with Star...once all of these ads are played JACK FM will play more music and less commercials than other stations...we'll see about that!

Star favorites Greg Simms and Sara Kiani will be back soon for their afternoon-drive mix of music, chatter and celebrity gossip, although Jen Sewell – who had been with the station for more than 10 years – will no longer be part of the team.

"The format change didn't fit me," said Sewell, who was let go on March 31. "They didn't need me anymore."

So the story that Jen left Star to concentrate on her marriage out of the spotlight was a lie.

It's just as well that Jen is gone. She was much too young for the age demographics of the show.

It will be interesting to see how long Laura lasts. She knows nothing other than current music and has even made comment that she didn't like John Mellencamp....even when he was in the Boxx. Lots of Mellencamp is now being played.

Jeff & Jer might like the change in music format since neither one are in the 90's era of music. Tommy is much more versatile in his choice of music. Randy....who knows where he is.

Also...Jeff & Jer may have bashed Jazzercise....but the music in Jazzercise classes is much like the new Jack format....very versatile.

So...we shall see how long it takes Jeff & Jer to jump ship. Their contract is up for renewal this fall.
