mouse button "drags" when I "click"

Recently I seem to be getting this problem frequently. When I'm selecting multiple individual files while holding down the CTRL key, the mouse left mouse button does a "toggle" like action. I click it once, but it drags as if I'm still pressing the button. I have to click again to "disable" the pressed condition.

Has anybody experienced this before? I don't know if it's my Logitech wireless mouse or if it's a Windows XP glitch.

Sounds like you either have a stuck CTRL key or a stuck mouse button. Try pounding on both of the CTRL keys 10 times or so & see if it makes a difference. If not, you might try a different mouse and/or different keyboard to see if the problem goes away.
