What's everyone getting each other for presents this year?

I'd thought it would be fun to share what each of you are giving as gifts.

ok, actually, this is just a cheap way for me to get some gift recommendations because I have done absolutely NOTHING in terms of shopping, and the holiday is less than a week away. Yep,... dug myself in quite a hole this year. oh, and i need to get gifts for my parents, bro and sis (aged 19 and 17 respectively), and four cousins (2 boys, ages 10, 2 girls ages 8). kthnxbye

Two Words: GIFT CARDS! If you go to Safeway, they carry gift cards in multiple denominations for over 50 stores/websites. They also carry greeting cards, so you could pretty much do all of your shopping there.

It's Swarovski crystal, and most Moms love that stuff! Great choice.

Mrs. Kevster - something sparkly for her earlobes
Kevster's wiener - Mrs. Kevster is taking care of that
Brother of Kevster - UnderArmor Cold Gear (He's in the army at Fort Lee in Virginia, and he asked for these specifically)
Mother of Kevster - Dell 19" LCD (my brother and I are teaming up for this)
Father of Kevster - A Book titled, "50 Years of Rod & Custom" and it's even signed by the author.
    I think over again
    My small adventures, my fears.
The small ones that seemed so big,
For all the vital things I had to get and to reach.

And yet there is only one great thing, the only thing:

To live to see the great day that dawns,
And the light that fills the world.

So far,I've gotten a pair of women's socks and a candy holder shaped like Santa's head. I've gotta stop participating in gift exchanges...

It's hard to give someone a Christmas gift when I don't have any money to buy anything. Fortunately I know my Baker's AMEX number so it looks like the new stainless steel mixing bowls are coming tomorrow.

We have a bit of a tradition here...besides the "normal" type gifts we exchange, every year I give my wife two of every scratch-off lottery ticket California has available wrapped in a box. She then spend Christmas morning havin fun looking for winners.

We've been doing this for more than 10 years...she loves it. This year is typical in that the collection of two of every available scratch-off comes to about $125 worth of tickets...with some being $1, $3, and $5 scratch-offs.

I've been getting my mom 2 of them a year for probably 10 years. She loves putting them by the window where they make a cool rainbow on the wall.

So, you get an employee discount.... j/k!

Yeah, if the pretty designs and the fact that no guy would admit to having feet that small aren't enough of a give-a-way... all the women laughing and pointing when I unwrapped it were.

I actually got some T-shirts for cousins and such. And a necklace for someone but I'm actually having second thoughts about giving it to her, the timing is just weird I guess.

My wife's family doesn't buy anything for anyone but kids...and this year (with $$$ short), I suggested the same to my family and that's what we're doing. Anyhow:

-My wife - Degrassi: The Next Generation Season 1 + 2 DVD sets plus the "Songs From Degrassi: The Next Generation" audio cd (first pressed cd I've bought in months...heh) (I spent about $100 off eBay and saved a little money, although shipping was overpriced and made my "savings" a lot less than they should be.)

-Our daughter - lots of toys and clothes. I picked out a Little People house for her, plus we got her a Sit-N-Spin, a Parents Magazine toy iPod (sorta like the real thing), a Sleepy Time Dora The Explorer doll...and god knows how much other stuff I've forgotten about at this point. (We spent about $200)

-Val's brothers - we bought each of them a t-shirt. Joe gets one that is pink and says "Tough Guys Wear Pink" (he wore a pink shirt last Thanksgiving that said "Hottie" or some fruity saying and we've made fun of him all year for it - he doesn't care though, he's goofy like that). Ben gets a shirt that has a girl figure talking to a boy and underneath it says "Problem" and then next to it, there's a pair of headphones and the word "Solution" (which is what he did to his g/f..she was talking to him one time and he was sick of hearing her complain so he put on a pair of headphones...LOL).

-My 15 y/o niece is getting a really pretty Lei brand watch...the band is silver with heart shapes and the face is a deep purple with a heart on it (got it at Gordman's for $10).

-My nephews...Kyle's getting a sweatshirt and Andrew's getting a Hot Wheels car garage set.

I have no clue what I'm getting (obviously). I'm still riding the buzz from getting my free laptop.
