Lets see....to start with at 6pm tonight I had one of my soft corals get caught/stuck in a power head for my protein skimmer. This required me to take apart my power head to try to untangle the parts of the coral which had magically wrapped themselves around the freaking impeller. Ended up losing about a dime sized portion of the animals!
Of course, this meant I had to do a water change...as I am workign on the tank...I notice that my clowns which normally host in the coral have decided that its dinner. So now I have to create a special holding area for them. (On a funny note, I forgot I had a special isolation chamber put away and create a rig out of tupper ware)
While this is going on Mrs. Crusher asks me why I have 2 tanks that I could put this injured animal into that are supposed to be for quaranting animals yet I cant use them. Of course this is a sore point as I have been trying to tear down several tanks for a while now to no avail. I remind her of this fact and she drops it, but of course now I am annoyed about my other tanks.
Working on tank 2 and everything is going fine. Water out and I have my return system set up and going. Just as I go to turn it off, the freaking hose disconnects itself!!! OF course the container is sitting on my kitchen counter with all of our mail and a bunch of electronics......the water pours out onto all this stuff directly onto a surge protector and an extension cord. Of course, the breaker trips. So now I have a bunch of wet mail, wet electronics, and wet plugs/outlet. I have to carefully unplug everything...make sure that its not dangerous. 40 minutes later I finish and point out to my wife the rewire. She tells me it looks the same.
So its now 12am.....I think its bed time...this way nothing else bad can happen. OR at least I wont see it until the morning.
