    Ebay Buyer Suckage

So I sold my Dell Axim PDA on Ebay a few months ago. It was in great condition. I take care of my stuff, and I even have old 486 computers with mobos and etc in great condition...I'm just the type of person who takes care of my gadgets

Anyway, about 3 weeks into having the PDA the buyer claims the touchpad stopped working, and made a claim to paypal.

After about a month and a half of going back and forth with the buyer AND paypal, Paypal decided in the buyers favor, and the item was shipped back to me.

Now, for the month and a half, my paypal account had a negative balance and I couldnt use it. I wasn't able to pay for any christmas stuff I got off of ebay with paypal, which sucked...

Now, I know the item was in perfect condition when I shipped it out, so I was furious that they broke the thing and now I have to pay them for it....

Well, Paypal ignored the hell out of me, and even though I appealed everything their policy is non-reversable, and I have to pay the idiots their money back.

I call them idiots because they put a piece of plastic over the screen, which made the touchpad stop working. As soon as the item got shipped back to me, I noticed it, removed it...and everything works fine.

NOW, I have to sell the damn thing all over again, pay more ebay fees and paypal fees, and the worst part is, those retards who bought it, are getting their money back despite entering into an agreement with me when they won the ebay auction and they don't deserve a refund...

    argh...I hate people!

I'm going to be out over 200 dollars until I can re-sell the item JUST to get my money back.
    Shut up, dummy.

It's amazing to me how many buyers on ebay feel that anyone selling is a business with a big stock of items, able to replace them when bad, can just send back money, etc. And, to make it worse, the new PayPal guarantee program then compounds this by basically saying the same thing.

They completely ignore the fact that the majority of sellers are individuals selling items they no longer need or want.

I can't even give her negative feedback now, since the thing sold so long ago I can't even bring it up on my history

Contact ebay and ask for a refund of your costs. The buyer sabotaged the device. It was fraud on their part. The device was in working order. And don't use Paypal, it sucks.

You follow that policy and you'll really limit the number of people who bid on your auction. I know I wouldn't bid and definately not on an expensive item like this.. And in the long run that might wind up costing you much more.

Ebay's policy allows refunds on fees for returnd items. However, if it's so old you can't even give feedback, I really doubt you can make a claim for the fees, since the item isn't in their database anymore.
I used to be a power seller. I got screwed by a bad check, and ebay sided with the buyer. I quit making money for ebay immediately after that. They were making almost 1/2 what I was, but chose to not earn it when I had an issue. They can go suck it. Same for paypal.
