    Did you know…"myoclonic jerk"

    This happens to me...never knew it had a name....

    ======================================================

    From my Centrum Vitamins trivia of the day email:

    Did you know…

    That sudden, mysterious, involuntary twitching you feel in your legs or arms when you're drifting off to sleep is known as a "myoclonic jerk."

    Now you can tell your spouse that he or she was a "real jerk last night" and not hurt their feelings.

    Giving it a name is not going to keep me from getting kicked in the shin.
    There are two tragedies in life. One is to lose your heart's desire. The other is to gain it.

    I freaking hate when it happens. It's like having someone shake you awake.

    I prefer the Kramer word...the jimmy legs. (And the add-on by Frank Costanza, the jimmy arms.)
    I've got the jimmy legs...sometimes it happens at least. And yes...it's DEFINITELY annoying; its made me wake myself up before when it happens.
