Hilarious. Having driven cars here in the South w/o AC in the past, I can kinda understand the sentiment behind it. It's probably cheaper than having AC installed. But why not use a bigger alternator and a transformer to AC instead of a bigass generator on the trunk that requires constant refueling and is noisy as hell?

Most alternators wouldn't be able to power a 5000 BTU AC by themselves, let alone all the things the car needs (fuel pump, ignition, lights, radio, etc). Even a 200A alternator wouldn't make enough energy at idle. Then you would need a 1500 watt inverter ($$$) and there would be conversion losses to consider.
Is that picture photoshopped? That sticker sure doesn't look real, and it's a bit out of place on that bomber.

I **** you not, my friend did this... He put an inverter in his car, put the AC unit in the trunk and cut slots in the back seat of his 198x Accord.
