how long do you give a eBay seller to respond after payment before getting ticked?

i won this auction on the 3rd. http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...187931602&rd=1

i paid and haven't heard anything from him. he has good feedback and i'm not worried about getting screwed, just getting ticked about the lack of response. i've emailed him about the shipping because i'm leaving for my cruise next thursday. and i might have to fly to nc for a quick trip on tuesday so i need to make arrangements for my neighbor to grab it if i'm gone.

grrr...i'll give him 1-2 more days but the feedback will reflect my concerns if it takes him a week to get back to me.

3 business days is appropriate. So he should have emailed you sometime yesterday.

Hmmm... looking at your bidder history, should I be surprised you bid on all that porn?
    I think over again
    My small adventures, my fears.
The small ones that seemed so big,
For all the vital things I had to get and to reach.

And yet there is only one great thing, the only thing:

To live to see the great day that dawns,
And the light that fills the world.

I just had a similar situation. I left negative feedback after 4 days of no reply for a shipping cost from the seller. Well, about two days later he told me the exact cost and asked if I would withdraw the negative feedback. I told him I would only after I recieved the item.

I think he had problems getting online. However, if it were me, I would use a friend's computer or go to the library to check on my eBay items.

Presently, I'm waiting on a ring that I won high bid on..since someone tampered with my paypal account, I've been using money orders only until it can get fixed (somehow, I keep paypal billing notices for a man in Newburg, who somehow got my email address attached to his account, and paypal is bound and determined to tell me that my roadrunner email address belongs to this guy)..anyway, I won an auction, and immediately sent the owner a message asking for an address to send payment to..after seven days, he would relist the ring and leave negative feedback of non payment..it took him 3 days to respond-and then he only sent a partial address-name, city and zip code only, no p.o. box or street address..I gave him one day to see if he noticed the error, which he did not, so I remailed him asking him again for the address..two days later I heard nothing, so on the 6th day, I mailed him again and told him if he did not send me an address I would not send payment and I would leave him negative feedback immediately.
He finally sent the address..I mailed the money order out less than 20 minutes after I got his mail..that was over a week ago..I emailed him tonight asking if he shipped the ring. NO response by friday and it's war..

Chill out. You'll have the item before you know it. Sending e-mails back and forth is not going to make UPS go any faster.

If it's a postal money order, you can track where it went. But there is a time period before they get involved, which I am unsure what the length is.

lol. but that's why we have email. so he can make the customer (ME) happy. if this was a regular store this behavior would not be acceptable. but somehow since it's ebay i have to give the dude a week to respond before getting irritated. why is that?

...because you chose to shop on eBay?

I go through the same thing all the time...if I want to pay a higher price and get the item now, I can get it at a local B&M. Or I can wait a while for it to ship and get it cheaper. I usually pick the latter...and I'm guessing you do too.
