I was shopping for some new luggage and the salesperson told me that I need TSA certified locks. Was anyone aware of this? These locks are combination locks with a keyhole at the bottom and they are certified compliant.
My issue is that my fiance/wife has a nice Samsonite that has a lock that is built in so you don't need a seperate lock. From what this salesperson says, the security ppl will have to cut open her luggage to inspect it or not let her board at all. If they cut it open, you aren't reimbursed for the damage they caused.
Any truth to this or experience?
