Thread: The Raconteurs

    The Raconteurs

Jack White (he of White Stripes fame) apparently has a little side band going. They have their first two singles for sampling on their website. Nice site, too. Has an 80s movie look to it.

I'm a fan of "Steady as she goes". Anyone else?

Oddly enough, Steady as she goes kicked in just as I saw this post. I downloaded it from itunes because as I was sampling, it quieted the kid down. Turns out she has good taste. I was kinda floored at first when I heard jack white was involved, but I can totally see the influence now.

i like that song - very close to what grunge music sounded like in the early 90s. Maybe its the overdriven fuzz on the distorted guitar, i dunno.

its definitely not white stripes sound (which is more roots rock than anything).
there are pictures, but no,nothing happens on my site.

Yeah, kinda reminds me of a Screaming Trees or something. I dig it.

Already had the CD and ebayed it. I'm a huge White Stripes fan, and I couldn't get into this in the slightest.
