I am going to grill some veggies later and was wondering what spices might taste good on them. I have red, green, and yellow bell peppers, as well as squash and zucchini. Anyone have a suggestion?
Thanks in advance.

Each religion has got their own way of making you feel like a victim. The Christians say 'you are a sinner', and you better just zip up your trousers and give the money to the pope and we'll give you a room up in the hotel in the sky.

Oh yeah, some high quality EVO, that's mandetory.
Paul Prudhome's spices, for veggies to blackend redfish are great. Dunno about ability in CA, though, but it's worth a look.
Agree...pepper tooOriginally Posted by oblongmelon
Really, whether you want to add pepper or not depends on your palette. Pepper may be in order if you're a smoker, but if you want to taste veggies (not everyone likes the taste of veggis), leaving it out might be best.
I've never been a big fan of veggies, but my g/f is and she loves the "30 minute marinades" from Lawry's. Her favorites are Tequila Lime (which goes great on chicken too) and Lemon Pepper.
I will say that you will need more than 30 minutes for them to really taste great.
I like Mrs. Dash. Flavorful, but not too salty.

For the squash and zukes (works for eggplant and asparagus too): Marinate them in a little balsamic and extra virgin olive oil (much more balsamic than olive oil - ~4/1 ratio). Dice up some garlic and add that to the marinade. Then add some salt and pepper. Let them soak in the marinade for 30 minutes or more. Stir the marinating veggies a few times. Grill. Yummy!!!!
