I think over again
My small adventures, my fears.
The small ones that seemed so big,
For all the vital things I had to get and to reach.
And yet there is only one great thing, the only thing:
To live to see the great day that dawns,
And the light that fills the world.

Trying to do the healthy thing and get rid of my fat *ss. So we are having chicken stir-fry with red & green peppers, celery and onions.Served over

i love the smell of peppers and onions like that, but i'm not crazy about eating them. redheads are fussy eaters.
ok, so dad and my step mom end up going out and leavinbg me to fend for myself, so i get wings. theres a place here called Wing Kings, they've also got a store in south carolina, best wings i've ever had. better than the originals at the anchor bar.

Nah..you just need to find some halfway decent sausage, and know the proper procedure for cooking all of the above..If you have a Price Chopper store in your area-they make some pretty darn good sweet sausage links (I like the 3 cheese best) for store bought links (luckily for me, my brothers make their own sausage so I benefitOriginally Posted by johnnymk
)..You have to make sure that you clean the peppers well (wash off all the wax from the store)..and use SWEET white onions. (no yellow onions-they are too bitter).. I always freeze my sausage beforehand, so that I can cut it into nice even "coins"..just easier than biting into a great big sausage link if you ask me..brown the sausage up in a nice hot skillet with NO grease added. The peppers have to be cooked separate from the onions because they need to be able to cook down and start to get a bit brown on the skin-add good olive oil and a nice dose of sea salt before you cook them..the onions, well, they need to carmelize..so they get cooked in a super hot skillet with some oil and salt and pepper..(high heat please)
Once everything is ready, mix together (including the juices from the peppers and onion pans) and keep it hot till serving..the best part is the "gravy" which is always best sopped up with crusty bread.
I had that same thing for dinner last night.Originally Posted by oblongmelon

i can do broccoli and cauliflower with butter/salt and maybe some fresh grated parmesan cheese, but corn/raw carrots top my list. not too hot on green beans either unless they are french-cut and sauteed in oil olive with almond slivers.Originally Posted by RIVERWIDOW

I get all skeeved out by cauliflower..I make it for everyone else but to me..ugh..I gag on it.
and yeh, Price Chopper has the best meat department around..Wegmans is great, but I'm partial to Price Chopper for some reason..excellant sausage that's for sure.
Sounds good. Any recipies?
I like the little grape tomatoes but don't eat too many because the acid causes my mouth to break out in canker sores. Just came bak from Mothers Day brunch at Marie Callendars. OMGGreat food, good choices and I was good and only ate 1 piece of Razzle Berry pie. I love any kind of berries. How about you?? Btw Happy Mommies DayOriginally Posted by nickel

Don't get me started on cooking.... nothing on this earth beats Fiji coconut shrimp BBQ on the side of a nice mediterrannean grilled steak with simmered olives, onions, mushrooms, and peppers, topped with grilled asparagus & a chianti-olive oil & herb vinnegarett over it all...
Thats how I cook.

Oooo that shrimp sounds super..mmmmOriginally Posted by Dem0072
