    skypeout is now free!!!!

Figured I would post this here so it would get more exposure. Skype out is now free for calls to the USA and canada.

Just used it to call a few friends without purchasing any credits, awesome!!

(skype is a voip service that was just bought by ebay for those who dont know)

It says "until the end of the year" though...so looks like the free offer ends in December I would assume.

    Still...that's pretty sweet.

Beware Skyping at work. Apparently if you're on a high enough speed connection, it turns you into a little network hub for the world's conversations. As much fun as routing several hundred megabits of chatter per second is, your network admin (me @ my job) is coming up behind you at this very moment to hit you with a chair.

Yeah...I've left mine running for the past day. Gonna shut it down tonight when I get home and only open it when I actually need to use it.

    Thanks for the heads up.

Anyone using SkypeIn? I am going to set up a website with a phone number to call, and want people to leave voicemail for me to call them back. I thought it would be best to use a SkypeIn number for this. However, I have been unable to open the page:

    https://secure.skype.com/store/

Can anyone else click on that, and make it to the store front?

    :nods:

Took me long enough to remember my password though.

A friend got a SkypeIn Florida area code number while she's in Israel. I haven't myself called her but she says it works really well.
