They should outsource the GAM position. Posting members should not be GAMs.
There are some posts out there that you just can't not comment on.

Ehh, I'm not being clear: the GAM should be a non-interested 3rd party. Someone who has no interest in involving themselves in the conversations posted here. It's the only way that they can remain neutral in the monitoring of the board.
GAM is anonymous so that multiple people can fulfill the role yet you can't single out which person actually performed what action (especially when you disagree with the action). Therefore under their "regular" screen names they can live normal lives in the forums without worrying about folks making comments to their personal posts versus their official posts.
In other words, if you don't know which one did it... you can't persecute the individuals who have the authority to do it when they are on their personal accounts.
This is most likely why GAM is anonymous.

Here's a great idea. Why don't you guys pay Apex money so he can hire an independant GAM company. That way, when you guys b!tch about impariality, the hired GAM can say "I am just doing my job".
Part of the problem with the GAM account is that people will twist intentions of GAM to whatever agenda they see fit. Even if GAM were to be a posting member AND recuse themselves from specific topics while being GAM, they are still accused of NOT recusing themselves in the case of conflict of interests.
This is the true irony of GAM, no matter what, he/she is screwed. Thus, if you guys want to pin the tail on GAM *AND* it be impartial, then pay for a GAM yourself so you can have your own pinata.

I never asked or received anything from this site, other than to improve content in deal postings and reviews and for others to respect my opinions. I accepted gam reluctantly and rarely used it. to infer anything else is wrong.

I don't know who the GAMs are. And as for you being a GAM, well I thought it was insinuated in this thread: http://forums.gotapex.com/showthread.php?t=98399. Again, I don't know for sure. It could be any number of people who post here. Yeah, we all have our suspicions. But that's exactly what they are...suspicions only.
With that being said, maybe you should re-read what you posted. I'm disgusting? My "accusations" are disgusting? For Christ sakes man, read the thread! I'm simply saying it would be better for all, INCLUDING THE GAMs, if they were neutral third parties.
